Fear is the other side of Excitement!

We're always trying to get everything done but somehow the day gets ahead of us and we didn't get as far as we wanted. Lizza Monet Morales an actress, host and best-selling author. She and I talk about some methods to attack that todo list. We talk about her upcoming book The Word Diet because the most important meal of the day is the word we feed ourselves. We're often concentrating on how we talk to others but how often do we think about how we talk to ourselves.

In Lizza's research for her book she has identified specific words that women and more importantly women of color use. Some being, "Excuse me, I'm sorry and just." We are constantly fighting to embrace our identity and words have to go into that embrace. I hope you enjoy this episode!

We propose and life disposes

Davina Ferreira is the founder and CEO of Alegria Magazine, a bilingual magazine. She and I discuss the path we think we’re going on and then the path that life actually takes us on. It’s important to be flexible with our dreams because we never know what that road to finding our own version of success will look like. Life gets complicated but there must be trust that the hard work we are putting in will result in dreams coming true.
